Volunteer Opportunities

Thank you for entrusting BCA to provide your child a rewarding Christian education experience! We pray that you do not just "send" your child(ren) to school here, but that you will partner with us and become an active member of our BCA family. Whatever your interests, PTF has a place for you to connect with BCA, other parents and teachers.

PTF Committees include:

• Booster/Sports Committee organizes and executes the needs of the middle school sports program. Responsibilities include: maintaining and operating the concession stands and admission stands at various sporting events; planning the Sports Banquet held at the end of the school year; and assisting with fundraisers for the athletic program.
• Building & Grounds Committee is responsible for organizing and leading school improvement projects on an ad hoc basis. Sample projects include: equipment installation, grounds keeping, painting, general cleaning, repairs/maintenance and beautification.
• Community Relations Committee promotes upcoming BCA and community events and publishes Crusader Chronicles, the school's monthly newsletter.
• Fellowship Committee organizes BCA family events, including Coffee with the Principal, PTF Family Nights and other family/community events. Responsibilities include: providing and serving refreshments and/or dinners; decorating the event venue; and cleaning up after the event.
• Fundraising Committee is responsible for raising money for BCA. The Silent Auction and BCA Fun 5K are the major fundraising events during the school year.
• Hospitality Committee organizes BCA receptions and/or other school events in which refreshments are served. Responsibilities include: greeting parents and other guests attending events; providing and serving refreshments; decorating tables and event rooms; and cleaning up. Events include: reception for the BCA elementary musical; National Junior Honor Society reception and Silent Auction.
• Labels & Community Committee organizes additional fundraising efforts for BCA through Campbell’s Labels for Education, Box Tops for Education, grocery and retail store loyalty cards and SCRIP gift card sales.
• Partners in Prayer meets Fridays at 8:00 a.m. to pray for BCA, its families and the special needs of individual school family members and is responsible for publishing the weekly email prayer list, Partners in ePrayer. Members also host the annual Pastors' Prayer Breakfast.
• Promotions Committee is responsible for promoting BCA's mission and informing the community about BCA in an effort to increase student enrollment. Responsibilities include: designing and distributing promotional flyers, partnering with local churches, neighborhoods and daycares, and assisting with Open House events.
• Staff Appreciation Committee collects donations to provide staff members with gifts on their birthdays, holidays and/or special occasions throughout the school year; hosts Staff Appreciation Week; and hosts staff members and their families for lunch on Christian School Sunday.
