Did you know that parents have a significant effect on their child’s education? It’s true. Good education is not only about teachers and school – what you do as a parent really counts!
The Bethesda Christian Academy Parent Teacher Fellowship (PTF) provides parents with opportunities to become involved in important school projects and activities. PTF is made up of dedicated parents, teachers and academy staff who desire to work for excellence through service to BCA.
The objectives of PTF are:
- To provide a forum for BCA parents and teachers to meet together to promote better communication and to share in Christian fellowship;
- To provide ongoing education for parents and others to the philosophy, ideals and goals of Christian education;
- To coordinate school fundraisers which provide revenues for otherwise unbudgeted items or services for the academic program;
- To provide an opportunity for students to perform and otherwise demonstrate special skills learned during the year.
Every BCA parent is expected to be a part of PTF and to serve on at least one committee. Whatever your interests, PTF has a place for you to connect with BCA, other parents and teachers.
